Ever at the ready...
Jerry Daniel has been transporting sick and injured horses, responding to emergencies and managing difficult horse rescue operations for more than 13 years. His custom-built ambulance is equipped to deal with extreme conditions and circumstances including transporting hard-to-load stallions, mares with newborn foals, and animals unaccustomed to being in trailers.
Jerry's ability to assess an emergency and to quickly and humanely solve difficult loading and transport problems has contributed greatly to the success of his business. Horse owners, equine hospitals, veterinarians, stable owners, trainers, horse show managers and local racetracks have come to depend on Jerry's skills in managing challenging situations.
Jerry's skills in loading frightened, injured, and just plain cantankerous horses are well known and contribute greatly to his success in getting these animals quickly and safely to treatment facilities. A skilled trainer, Jerry has taught countless horses, and their owners, to calmly load in horse trailers.
Promoters of horse shows, parades and other equine events throughout California make sure Jerry is available for emergencies that might arise in those events. Local animal control agencies, fire departments and the CHP regularly ask for Jerry's help in rescuing trapped horses, removing horses from disabled trailers and evacuating animals from disaster areas.
Jerry has assisted at horse shows and related events as far away as Palo Alto and Las Vegas. In 2005, Jerry was selected to provide emergency standby service at the inaugural Las Vegas Invitational Horse Show.
Each year, Jerry volunteers his time and equipment at the Swallow's Day parade in San Juan Capistrano, as well as providing free emergency transportation on Christmas and New Years. Jerry also volunteers his services to other community organizations with equestrian events.
Jerry's more unusual assignments have included moving a camel from a disabled trailer to NBC studios for the Tonight Show, assisting the filming of Seabiscuit, transporting llamas, zebras, and other exotic animals, and moving a 300-pound pot-bellied pig.
Jerry is available 24-hours a day, 365 days a year for emergencies and transportation of horses and other large animals with special needs. He can always be reached at 949 422-6707. |
